NBA: Neemias Queta bate recorde dos Celtics que perdurava desde 1989
Neemias Queta made a big comeback. After a short break due to injury, the Portuguese center was back in action for the Celtics on Saturday night.

The Boston team lost on their visit to the Timberwolves. Still, there was time for Neemias to make history. The Portuguese player scored 19 points (tying his career high), collected 18 rebounds (a new career high), and also collected two steals.

The Portuguese player became the first Celtics player to achieve this statistical feat since 1989. The last to do so was Robert Parish, a Hall of Famer who was a four-time NBA champion and nine-time All-Star.

Queta is in his fifth season in the NBA, his third in Boston. The Portuguese giant has enjoyed his first season as a regular starter. In 18 games, Neemias has averaged close to a double-double: 9.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. (MaisFutebol, 30-11-2025)
